The Federal Emergency Management Agency is gathering information throughout southwestern Connecticut following massive flooding.Based on the data gathered by FEMA, President Bush could declare Bridgeport a federal disaster area. If Bush issues the declaration, millions of dollars in federal assistance could become available to aid the nor'easter cleanup. FEMA workers have been going door to door looking for people still feeling the sting of floodwaters. Information collection will continue Saturday. Bridgeport residents can report damage sustained Sunday evening or Monday morning by calling 211.
