Wilton High School students are getting the opportunity to experience dozens of new cultures this week during The Festival.
The Festival is a weeklong series of events where students get the opportunity to fully experience customs, traditions, music and more from different cultures.
"It's always really, really cool to be able to bring that kind of unique experience to the students here," says senior Alex Killian. "It's something we don't get going to school every day."
On Monday, students heard traditional Japanese Taikoza drummers perform and watched films in many different languages, including French and Spanish.
"I hope they get a cultural appreciation that we don't really get in Wilton from what we experience, and I hope they get an enjoyable experience that shows them a slice of the world they don't get to see," says Killian.
The students say they are glad to get this experience.
"We're such a small town that it's nice to actually learn about the world going on around us," says Abbe Ricketts.
The event runs through the rest of the week.
