A large fire at a Milford recycling plant kept crews on the scene for more than 12 hours.
The fire broke out at City Carting and Recycling Company on Old Gate Lane late Wednesday night.
Milford fire officials say the call came in around 10:15 p.m. They say they found a large pile of recyclable material on fire.
It took crews about 12 hours to make sure everything was out and to get heavy machinery on site to remove the burned debris.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Fire officials say they also put a call in to the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection because of the runoff water and the surrounding wetlands.
