A fire broke out inside the garage of a Trumbull home, officials say. 

The fire occurred in the garage of a home Thursday night on Glenwood Drive after 11 p.m.

Two cars, a Lexus SUV and Porsche appeared to be inside of the garage at the time of the fire.

Firefighters were able to knock down the fire quickly, officials say.

Rob Murphy, the Deputy Fire Chief for the Long Hill Fire Department says a family was inside of the home at the time of the fire but they were not injured.

There was smoke damage inside of the home as a result of the fire, Murphy says. 

Murphy says they are working smoke detectors inside the home and the Trumbull Fire Marshall's office is investigating the cause.
