Officials say 14 people are homeless after a fast-moving fire tore through their multifamily home in Norwalk.
The flames broke out around 10:30 p.m. Monday on Cove Avenue. Firefighters say it started on the second floor and quickly spread throughout the house.
The Red Cross says it is helping the nine adults and five children from three families who were displaced. The residents were provided with comfort kits to help get them through the next few days.
The Norwalk Fire Department is also working with the victims, saying they will be provided with gift cards to help them rebuild.
There is no word yet on what caused the fire.
