One person was hospitalized following a rollover crash in Fairfield Thursday afternoon.

Fire officials say the crash happened Southbound at the Westport and Fairfield town line near Exit 19 on Interstate 95.

Westport and Fairfield firefighters responded to a pickup truck partially underneath a tractor-trailer.

AMR found the occupant and were able to rescue them from a 50-foot marsh area using a rope capture system.

Authorities say the patient reported major injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
