A firearm was discharged during a fight at the Trumbull Mall Friday, police say.

Police received numerous 911 calls at 5:45 p.m. for a disturbance.

Officers say several teenagers, who all knew each other, got into an argument as they walked through the shopping center near Macy's on the upper level. One of the teens displayed a handgun and fired at least one shot.

No one was hit or injured.

Police were able to collect evidence at the scene and received help from multiple witnesses.

Traffic leaving the mall at its 6 p.m. closing time was delayed while officers searched for the suspects.

Authorities believe the suspects were able to quickly leave the mall but say they are following several leads.

Anyone with information is asked to ask contact police at 203-261-3665 extension 0.
