? Firefighters in Devon conducted a bird rescue 100 feet in the air Sunday after a heron became caught in kite string.
The bird was found suspended in the air after flying into the string, which was stretched between two trees. After heading into the air with a tower ladder, firefighters used a ?pike pole? to pull the bird toward the ladder bucket. They then wrapped the bird in a towel.
Wildlife officials say although the bird suffered some soft tissue damage, it will recover.
