A dog died after a fire inside of a home in Bantam, officials say.

A dog died after a fire inside of a home in Bantam, officials say.
Firefighters were called to a home on Sunday in the Bantam section of Litchfield.
Officials say there was heavy smoke and fire damage inside of the home dating back to the 1700's.
The owners were not home when the flames broke out.
The cause is still under investigation.
