Bridgeport
firefighters responded to a two-alarm fire on Union Avenue Tuesday afternoon.
It
happened before 12:30 p.m. at Arcade Metal Stampings. The fire on the first
floor of the building was determined to be electrical in nature.
Fire
crews were able to extinguish the fire. Crews from United Illuminating were
also on the scene.
Acting
Chief Lance Edwards called the fire very strenuous and challenging due to the humidity.
Officials
say two firefighters were transported to the hospital for dehydration
and exhaustion.
