Firefighters spent the day Saturday battling a large fire in an abandoned building in Bridgeport. The Bridgeport Fire Department worked to get the large flames and thick smoke that engulfed the Remington Arms factory on Barnam Avenue under control. There have been more than a dozen fires in the factory since 2000.
