Firefighters: Two injured in tractor-trailer crash that leaked fuel on I-95 in Westport

The crash happened on I-95 southbound Wednesday between Exits 18 and 17 around 11 p.m. Tuesday.

Two people were injured in a crash involving two tractor-trailers on I-95 in Westport, officials say.
The crash happened on I-95 southbound Wednesday between Exits 18 and 17 around 11 p.m.  
Officials say one of the tractor-trailers jack-knifed and ruptured a fuel tank.  The driver of one of the tractor-trailers was injured and treated on scene by Westport firefighters and Westport EMS. Westport EMS transported the other victim to the hospital. The extent of the injuries is unknown.
Firefighters mitigated and contained a fuel spill related to the crash.
The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection responded to the scene to oversee and coordinate the cleanup of the fuel spill.
