First responders rescue several people during historical flooding in Wilton

Wilton Fire Department and the police department said rescues were made for residents living near Arrowhead Road due to the nearby stream overflowing.

Officials said 18 people were evacuated from their homes in Wilton on Sunday.


Wilton Fire Department and the police department said rescues were made for residents living near Arrowhead Road due to the nearby stream overflowing.


Some residents living near the Newtown Turnpike in Wilton also had to be saved from storm waters, according to officials.


Officials said three people were rescued from flooded vehicles overrun by the water.
