A fishing advisory remains in effect for Bridgeport after last week's fire.
The advisory was issued after chemical runoff from a massive factory fire Thursday apparently reached the Long Island Sound. Bridgeport officials issued an advisory for fishermen and shut down shellfish beds in the city and in Fairfield.
One bait shop in Bridgeport says business has been slow this weekend, with many people coming in and asking why they can't fish. Shops that sell clams and other shellfish say their suppliers' boats are empty because shellfish beds are closed.
City officials say they have not heard of any water or air quality issues from the fire, but testing remains in effect. The city will receive an update on the water quality Monday.
