A former Bridgeport man has been found guilty of mailing threats to Yale University.
Prosecutors said Mandel Bidone filed a complaint in April 2022 seeking compensation for an alleged illegal clinical trial by Yale. That complaint was dismissed as frivolous.
In March 2023, Bidone mailed another complaint to courts in New Haven that included a threat to carry out a shooting on Yale's campus if the case was dismissed or mishandled.
Bidone awaits sentencing. Mailing a threatening communication carries a maximum sentence of 10 years.
