Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona reflects on tenure and future
2ds agoMary Moran, the first and last woman to serve as mayor of Bridgeport, died Wednesday at the age of 90.
Moran, a Republican, was elected in 1989, defeating incumbent Democrat Tom Bucci. She served one term.
Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim, in a statement, said Moran was "at the helm of the City of Bridgeport during a very dark financial time in our history."
"She always remained a vocal stalwart of support and pride for the Park City."
