A Derby man has pleaded guilty for his involvement in the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection.
Gino DiGiovanni Jr., a former city alderman and former candidate for mayor, pleaded guilty Friday in federal court.
He pleaded guilty to one count of entering and remaining in a restricted building.
Under
a plea agreement, he's likely to faces up to six months in prison and a $9,500 fine.
DiGiovanni's sentencing will be April 15.
