Former lawyer accused of identity theft

Stamford police say a former attorney has been arrested on identity theft charges. Police say they arrested John Evans, 59, of Norwalk, for using a former employee's information to open a cable account.

Stamford police say a former attorney has been arrested on identity theft charges.
Police say they arrested John Evans, 59, of Norwalk, for using a former employee's information to open a cable account.
Evans has been suspended since 2010 after he kept money he owed to a client. 
Police also say they charged him in 2011 with stealing a car and possession of drug paraphernalia.
