Former NFL great Willie Parker hosted a free football camp for a Bridgeport nonprofit this weekend

The former Pittsburgh Steelers running back, who won two Super Bowls, was part of the camp for Color a Positive Thought.

The two-day kicked off a SportsCenter in Trumbull and wraps up Sunday at Harding High School.

Leora Levy, of Greenwich, says it all began when she ran into Parker in Pittsburgh earlier this year.

“He introduced himself, told me he was in Pittsburgh doing a football camp for kids and that's when I had the idea -- let's bring a football camp to Bridgeport,” says Levy.

Organizers thanked Parker and his 39 Legends Foundation for making the event fun for the kids.
