A former Trumbull police officer is now serving a 30 month prison sentence for sexually assaulting a teenager.
William Ruscoe took a plea deal in November for assaulting a girl who was enrolled in the town's police explorer program.
That carried a maximum prison term of five years.
The judge cut that in half when Ruscoe was sentenced Tuesday citing his years of good service with the police department.
