The former Stamford High School teacher accused of having a sexual relationship with a student faced a judge Monday on new charges.

Police say 32-year-old Danielle Watkins is currently being held on $146,000 bond for threatening a former student.

As previously reported, Watkins pleaded guilty in December to having sex with one student and providing him and another teen with marijuana.

Officers arrested Watkins again Friday evening for threatening one of the victims at a Dunkin' Donuts on Grove Street, violating the conditions of her initial release.

News 12 spoke with Watkins' attorney, Rob Serafinowicz, who says his client was on her way to a doctor's appointment when she encountered the victim by chance. He says her second arrest is "an unfortunate event that makes a difficult situation even more difficult."

According to the arrest warrant, the victim claimed that Watkins entered the coffee shop and threatened him by saying "I'm coming for you."

Devin Janosov, the attorney who represents both of Watkins' victims, says his clients now fear for their safety.

Watkins is expected to be sentenced later this month. The superintendent of Stamford schools says she will be terminated as soon as her teaching license is revoked.
