A former Stamford resident recently relocated to her new Houston residence just in time for Hurricane Ike.
In a recent phone conversation with News 12 Connecticut, Ashley Maguire explained how she prepared for the storm and what she expects from Hurricane Ike.
?We're not as much worried about [what will happen] during the storm. We're more worried about how many days we're going to be without power and how bad the flooding is going to be. It is a little nerve-racking,? Maguire said.
She added that she will be riding out the storm from her apartment since there has been no evacuation warning for her part of town. Millions have evacuated from the Gulf Coast area since the emergence of Ike.
