Bridgeport businesswoman Mary Jane Foster says she is strongly reconsidering her Monday announcement to withdraw from the race.
The announcement comes after the state ruled Mayor Bill Finch can not appear on the ballot in November.
Foster finished a distant third in the democratic primary behind former Mayor Joe Ganim and Finch but had already submitted enough signatures to be on the ballot as an independent.
Foster called Finch's announcement he will go to court to try and secure his place a desperate attempt to stay in office.
