Several Connecticut cities are being mentioned in Zillow's most popular housing markets of 2024.

Bridgeport comes in at number 5 and Stamford at number 3. New Haven is number 8 and Waterbury at 9.

Zillow says it analyzed housing metrics in cities across the U.S. that reflect consumer demand, including page-view traffic, home value growth and how quickly homes sell. Zillow says the increase in hybrid work models is likely contributing, leading more people to discover hidden gems that they may have previously overlooked when daily commutes were a thing. The communities strike a balance of affordable living and lifestyle amenities. Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim says he is happy to see Bridgeport on this list.

Milford is the most popular coastal city among Zillow home shoppers this year. Manchester, New Hampshire was tops on America's most popular housing markets.
