Qualified volunteers are helping taxpayers prepare their returns for free through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.
Assistance will be offered every Tuesday at the Fairfield Public Library from now until Tax Day.
Area Coordinator Mark Spivack says the program has 11 sites across Fairfield County. There is even a virtual program.
"So people who want to stay home and upload their tax documents can have their return prepared by one of these qualified people," said Spivack.
Officials say this year, it's especially important to file as early as possible.
Norwalk CPA David Gibbs says taxpayers should also be on the lookout for new IRS documents for stimulus payments and child tax credits.
