Stamford police say they have arrested a fugitive who is accused of jumping bail 26 years ago, just before he was due to be sentenced for manslaughter.
Police say Christopher Anthony Williams, 44, was found a few weeks ago in Pennsylvania by the U.S. Marshals Service.
A jury convicted Williams and two others in the 1989 homicide of 25-year-old Kevin Harrison.
Police say Williams posted bond and never appeared for his court date. They say they did receive a tip more than a decade ago about William's whereabouts that led them to Philadelphia.
Williams' bond is now set at $1 million. He is scheduled to appear in state Superior Court again April 14.
