Family and friends gathered Thursday to pay their respects to a Stamford woman who was hit and killed by an SUV last weekend.
Police say Angela Lopez, 34, was helping her husband put gas in their food truck on Hope Street Saturday when the SUV crossed the yellow line and hit them both. Lopez later died at Stamford Hospital.
Her husband survived.
A wake and memorial service was held at Jehovah Shammah Church of the Nazarene on Newfield Avenue. Lopez will be buried Friday.
A fund has been set up for Lopez's two children, who are 10 and 14 years old, with the goal of paying for their future education.
