The service begins at 10:30 a.m.
Weicker died at age 92 last month. His last public appearance was at Gov. Ned Lamont's inauguration in 2019.
Lamont called Weicker a mentor saying, "He was a man who was bigger than life – always was, and always will be in my book," he said. "He took the lead on a lot of issues before they were really big in the public consciousness."
Eulogies will be delivered by Lamont and the Honorable Christopher J. Dodd, former U.S. senator for Connecticut, as well as by Weicker's sons Scot and Gray and his former chief of staff, Stanley A. Twardy Jr.
Following the service there will be a gun salute and formal military honors at the burial at Putnam Cemetery in Greenwich. A wide range of U.S. and Connecticut state officials are expected to attend.
