An investigation is under way after a propane gas leak nearly sent a Westport house up in flames Thursday.
Firefighters say the owner of a Pequot Trail home heard a loud bang and then saw flames after a leak in the tank somehow ignited at about 3 a.m.
Firefighters contained the blaze before it destroyed the house or spread to homes nearby.
A probe is under way into what caused the overnight leak.
