Gas prices drop across Connecticut, down nearly 10 cents in a week

The national average price of diesel also dropped, down 11.4 cents to $4.876 per gallon.

Gas prices in Connecticut fell again over the past week, offering some relief for drivers.

According to GasBuddy, the average price of regular gas dropped 9.9 cents to $3.90 per gallon. That’s 60.8 cents lower than a month ago, but still 77.4 cents higher than a year ago.

Prices across the state vary widely, with the lowest reported at $3.39 per gallon and the highest at $5.19, a difference of $1.80.

Nationally, gas prices also declined, falling 6.9 cents to an average of $3.78 per gallon—down 55.6 cents from a month ago, but 64.2 cents higher than last year.

The national average price of diesel also dropped, down 11.4 cents to $4.876 per gallon.
