Back-to-school season is fast approaching, and after-school activities are on the minds of many parents.
The Girl Scouts of Connecticut are hoping parents and young girls will look toward their organization. Scouts held a kickoff event in Bridgeport Saturday with informational booths, games and lots of photo ops.
It was open to anyone, including troops, volunteers and especially potential members.
Organizers say Girl Scouts helps girls build courage, confidence and character.
