A GoFundMe page has been set up for the barber from Bridgeport who died a hero, shot as he shielded a child from bullets over the weekend.

You can now help the family of Deon Rodney pay for his funeral.

Any money raised after the funeral has been paid for will go into a trust for his daughter.

“He loved her endlessly, unconditionally and one day he won't be able to see her walk across the stage,” says Kimone Waite, Rodney’s wife, about their daughter.
