Stepping Stones Museum hosted its annual golf tournament fundraiser Thursday to raise money for its Open Arms program.
The program offers free memberships to low-income families and includes exhibits for multilingual and special needs students.
Museum staff say it costs around $1 million to fund the program.
"Knowing this event helps those that wouldn't be able to attend the museum without the initiative means the world to me," says Christie Gammill, golf tournament event manager.
The tournament at the Stanwich Club in Greenwich featured a putting contest, a silent online auction and raffles.
Close to 100 players participated.
