BRIEFING UPDATES:
-45,595 tests administered and 497 came back positive (1.1% positivity rate)
-68 patients are hospitalized (decrease of 9)
-There were 3 COVID-related deaths over the weekend
-Gov. Ned Lamont will establish a COVID-19 vaccine advisory group. There will be a science, distribution and outreach committees
-Co-chairs are acting health commissioner Dr. Deidre Gifford and Dr. Reggie Eadie, president and CEO of Trinity Health.
-Lamont said the federal Coronavirus Task Force asked the states to get ready for a COVID-19 vaccine.
-Among the items up for discussion by the task force is distribution and prioritizing who gets the vaccine first.
-Not everyone will be able to receive the vaccine on day one. The advisory board will make it clear who can receive the vaccine first.
-Lamont said he liked the tone of the message from the federal task force Monday, saying they will only distribute a vaccine when it's deemed safe and effective.
