Gov. Ned Lamont announced a staff shakeup in his office Tuesday.
Chief of Staff Paul Mounds and Nora Dannehy, the governor's general counsel, will both leave when Lamont's first term ends in January.
Mounds became a fixture on Connecticut's daily COVID briefings.
"Governor, you gave a kid from East Hartford the ability to serve his state. You trusted me, you relied on me, but you wouldn't believe how much I learned from you," said Mounds.
Mounds will be replaced by policy director Johnny Dach.
Outgoing state Comptroller Natalie Braswell will be Lamont's new general counsel.
