Gov. Ned Lamont says that Connecticut will be teaming up with HowWeFeel.org to use their app to track coronavirus symptoms across the state.
Officials say there are more than 1,800 additional cases of coronavirus, with 204 virus-related deaths. Lamont says the total seems higher because the state adjusted numbers to better align with definitions from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
He also says that net hospitalizations went up slightly Monday after the number went down for the first time over the weekend.
Lamont says the HowWeFeel.org app is anonymous, and that the data is broken down by ZIP code. He says there are 3,500 users across the state, but is hoping that number will increase.

- There are 19,815 coronavirus cases in the state, with 1,835 new cases since Sunday. There are also 1,331 virus-related deaths, with 204 additional deaths since Sunday. Lamont says these numbers are higher due to new CDC criteria.
- He says there are 1,919 people hospitalized due to COVID-19. He also says that 62,806 people have been tested.
- Lamont announced that the state is partnering with HowWeFeel.org, which has created an app that lets people monitor their possible coronavirus symptoms. The app was built by an independent nonprofit and collects aggregate data.
- He says the app will help the state identify new outbreaks, and that it also takes data on healthy people.
- Lamont says the state has ordered 3,500 bluetooth-enabled thermometers. The state will create a temperature map to try and locate the next coronavirus hotspot.
- He also says thousands thousands of fever thermometers to check workers at manufacturing facilities. Any worker with a temperature over 100. degrees will be sent home. He says that this may help the state open retail stores sooner.
- Lamont says 18,000 state businesses received money from the paycheck protection program. He says they receieved around $4.2 billion.
- HowWeFeel.org says along with the app, the hope to provide 10 million meals to people around the U.S.
