Gov. Ned Lamont met with Israeli President Isaac Herzog during his overseas tour.

The governor tweeted a video of his meeting with Herzog.

Lamont says the two talked about how Connecticut and the state of Israel can work together because they are 'similar' - both "small and innovative."

He says they can benefit from collaboration.

Gov. Lamont is due back home later this week.
