On Wednesday, Gov. Lamont announced nomination for commissioner of the Department of Children and Families (DCF).

Gov. Lamont nominated Jodi Hill-Lilly to serve the honorary title.

She has worked at the DCF since 1988 and is currently the agency's deputy commissioner of administration.

Hill-Lilly will replace commissioner Vannessa Dorantes and begin her new role in February.
