Gov. Ned Lamont has signed two bills aiming to help improve senior services.
Under the new legislation, nursing homes will be required to provide more financial transparency for seniors and their families.
It will also increase senior’s ability to receive adult day services under the Connecticut Home Care Program for Elders.
“There are some amazing senior centers that provide a higher level of care, that's what we are trying to do. To make sure we have a place that you feel most comfortable and know that you are safe,” said Lamont.
Advocates from the Aging Committee have also praised the new bills.
