Gov. Ned Lamont signed the state budget in Hartford Wednesday.
It does not have any new tax increases, but there is a modest tax cut for the working poor.
The budget does allow for more spending on schools, towns and social services.
Officials say the bipartisan budget makes historic investments in child care, education and health care while also aligning with the administration's progressive values.
As part of the budget, nonprofits, including many that provided support for women and families, will see a $100 million increase in state support.
