Gov. Dannel Malloy is denying claims by the Stamford woman mauled by a chimpanzee that he knew the animal was dangerous.
Charla Nash claims Malloy, who was mayor of Stamford at the time, knew the animal's owner, Sandra Herold.
She says Malloy warned Herold to lock up Travis the chimp after the animal got loose in downtown Stamford.
Malloy says he met Herold at meetings he hosted as mayor, but they never discussed the chimp.
