Gov. Dannel Malloy was very moved after receiving the 2016 John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award for his efforts involving a Syrian family.
President Kennedy's grandson Jack Schlossberg presented the award to Malloy in Boston yesterday.
The JFK Presidential Library and Museum says it recognized the governor for his public support of Syrian refugee resettlement.
Malloy said he would welcome Syrian refugees to Connecticut. just three days after the Paris attacks.
