Gov. Dannel Malloy has signed an adoption bill that Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch has spent years fighting for.
Finch says he is thrilled his efforts finally paid off.
Finch, who was adopted, thanked the governor on behalf of all Connecticut residents like him.
The new law allows adoptees to know who their birth parents are.
