Gov. Dannel Malloy signed Connecticut's newest education reform bill into law today. Lawmakers say the legislation allows the state's education commissioner to provide intensive support and intervention needed to turn around 25 low-performing schools. "We will increase the achievement of our students," says Malloy. "We will ultimately return to and then surpass graduation rates in our state. We are going to make this happen." The bill also requires yearly performance evaluations for principals, administrators and teachers.
