Gov. Dannel Malloy says he has been invited to sit with first lady Michelle Obama at the president's final State of the Union address tomorrow night.
Malloy says it is an honor, and he is proud to be recognized for initiatives including passing tougher gun laws and the Second Chance Society.
The father of a child killed in the Sandy Hook school shootings will attend as well.
This year, there will be an empty seat to honor victims of gun violence.
