Greenwich and Wilton football teams move to 2-0

Well, what's better than Friday night football. Thursday night football? No, I'm not talking Vikings Eagles. I'm talking Black Knights and Cardinals Stanford High looking to pull off an upset. First quarter was a stalemate. Black Knights look more like the New York sack exchange early back to back takedowns of the Greenwich quarterback. But a little bit later they tried to fake a punt and it did not go how they drew it up. They got a couple of yards but they didn't quite get the first down. Greenwich got it back in. Well, yeah, they capitalized George Von Valais watched that whole open up like the parting of the Red Sea and then he hit the Jets. Georgie Boy with a score and a point to the news 12 camera. This was a close one tied at half. Stanford played great but number one pulled away in the end, Greenwich moves to two and zero. Black Knights are one and one over in Wilton. The Warriors had their home opener. Always a great crowd there.
