Moms and daughters in Greenwich celebrated Mother's Day a little early.
Children's store Petite Maison’s Kids hosted their first Mommy and Me event. The event featured flower bouquet making and face painting plus food and drinks.
Katerina Azarova, the founder and creative director of Petite Maison Kids, says the goal of the event was to uplift women and honor all that they do.
“I wanted to celebrate mothers for everything that they do. I want to empower women to know that they can do anything, they can be anyone. They can change careers, you know, midlife like me. And I want little girls growing up to know that anything they want to do is possible," Azarova said.
Azarova hopes Mommy and Me becomes an annual event.
