A Greenwich runner is among the 50,000 expected to take part in the New York City Marathon this weekend.
Sharon Vos, who turns 61 Sunday, is set to run in her 46th marathon, and her 14th in New York City on her birthday. Last year, she took first place in her age division.
She says her personal best time is just over 2 hours, 57 minutes, which she recorded in 1994 as a member of the Marine Corps.
Vos says that she also has plans to run the Boston Marathon next spring.
