Two Westport psychologists say they are trying to help the town's school community deal with two recent tragedies.
Kim Freudigman and Emily Cashman say a program being held Thursday will feature well-known grief specialist, Lisa Athan.
The program follows the deaths of Staples High School freshman Christopher Lanni and teacher Cody Thomas, who died within a month of each other.
The medical examiner determined both committed suicide.
Organizers say they hope to offer parents and teachers professional advice during this difficult time.
Athan says what grievers need to know is how to communicate through the pain.
"It can bring people together," she says. "Feeling occurs through connection with other people."
The program will be held at Christ and Holy Trinity Church in Westport at 7 p.m.
