Shoppers across the country say they're not finding everything they want at their local grocery store.
Brands like Kraft Heinz are reporting this week that they're seeing all-time high demand.
Stew Leonard's President and CEO Stew Leonard Jr. says that's along with labor shortages and high transportation costs.
"Lot of our suppliers are saying they don't have enough people just to cut product for us and pick product for us,” says Leonard.
Leonard says bread is one item distributors just can't ship enough of right now.
Fortunately for them, they have their own scratch bakery.
“When a truck doesn't show up over there, we tell the bakers, you know, come in an hour early,” he says.
The lack of supply is driving prices higher for some products, like ribeye and New York strip steaks.
Leonard says ground beef, pork and chicken are all widely available and reasonably priced. Shoppers just have to shop smart.
